Shuttering Carpenter Job Opportunity
Your Role:
As a Shuttering Carpenter you will be responsible for constructing assembling and dismantling formwork (shuttering) used in concrete construction.
- Responsibilities:
- Interpret construction blueprints and technical specifications.
- Identify required formwork dimensions and materials.
- Fabricate timber plywood or metal formwork.
- Install and secure formwork accurately.
- Utilize spirit levels plumb bobs and measuring tapes for precision.
- Ensure the strength of formwork to support wet concrete.
- Collaborate with steel fixers and masons during concrete pouring.
- Safely remove shuttering without causing damage to the concrete.
- Adhere to site safety protocols and utilize PPE.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Education Background: Open to all categories
- Experience: Minimum 0.6 months of experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
- Age: No restrictions
- Skills Required:
- Knowledge of various formwork systems (timber steel aluminum)
- Proficiency in using hand tools (hammers saws drills) and power tools
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Teamwork and coordination with site engineers and laborers
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations
