Job Description

This is a field-based role servicing the Boston and surrounding area. Travel within the assigned territory is required including regular visits to retail locations and distributor meetings.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Learn and grow sales within your assigned territory working across multiple product categories.
  • Develop strategic account visit plans with support from your manager and team.
  • Assist in conducting product and sales training programs with retail associates.
  • Build relationships with store-level teams to improve product visibility and sales effectiveness.
  • Support setup and maintenance of product displays signage and pricing in new and existing retail stores.
  • Partner with Retail Pro Associates and distributor sales teams to promote Pro Business programs and events.
  • Assist In-Home Sales Consultants with product training and customer engagement.
  • Manage travel and expenses effectively while supporting territory goals.
  • Collaborate with distributor partners and internal stakeholders to align on goals and initiatives.
  • Support merchandising standards and ensure execution during store visits.
  • Assist in customer claim inspections and propose basic solutions in partnership with Customer Service.
  • Recommend improvements to product placement and in-aisle assortment based on your observations.
  • Take part in additional assignments and learning opportunities to grow your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Interest in building materials retail or home improvement is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Business Sales Marketing or a related field.
  • Previous sales experience is not requiredideal for recent graduates or those looking to enter the field.
  • Familiarity with the sales process or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of retail environments or merchandising.


Additional Information :

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $44000 USD - $66000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
