Job Description

Position Summary
To perform a variety of clerical duties that requires some independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program. Employees follow detailed procedural guidelines in completing well-defined duties. Under the general oversight of the Administrative Supervisor 1 the Administrative Coordinator 2 is responsible for the accurate sorting of all incoming US Postal Service mail parcels accountable mail (registered and certified) and interdepartmental mail and accurate receiving of all incoming parcels boxes and packages delivered to the University. These duties are constant and time- sensitive demanding physical stamina such as standing for hours sorting metering lifting processing packages distributing packages and mail to departments daily. The Administrative Coordinator 2 must interact effectively with all levels of the University staff while exhibiting a friendly demeanor and a demonstrative knowledge of their field. Exceptionally large volumes of mail require the Administrative Coordinator 2 to be able to prioritize and work independently to get the job done. Also may serve as a floater for other clerical positions in Auxiliaries and Supply Chain Management.
