Position Highlights

The Washington County Circuit Court in Hillsboro Oregon is hiring a Records Clerk (Court Operations Associate).

In this role you will provide customer service by answering questions about records and fulfilling copy requests which involves looking in case files for the appropriate documents. The support you provide will be in person at the service counter in the public records room and at your desk by phone and by electronic communication. You will occasionally help customers use the public-access computers. You will pull scan and verify records for all case types distribute incoming mail and provide copies of audio recordings of court proceedings. You will provide regular and certified copies of documents which includes calculating the cost of the copies and sending invoices by email to request payment. The mail run is conducted daily and on your scheduled day you will use the court car to travel to up to three locations to collect case files and scanning boxes and return them to the courthouse.

Part of your time will be spent providing backup to other records clerks as needed.

Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

AND

At least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial administrative or legal documents.

OR

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge skills and abilities for the position.

Criminal Background Check
