Description

As a Metrologist at Fluke you will be responsible for the development and calibration procedures automation analysis validation and engineering for our infrared temperature measurement instrumentation.

Fluke is looking for people who seek the opportunity to work within a top tier test and measurement equipment manufacturer. The candidate will be part of a team of metrology and engineering experts supporting accredited calibration of existing Fluke products as well as developing calibration procedures and measurement methods for new products.

Additionally the candidate will:

  • Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science technical analysis of measurement problems and accuracy and precision requirements primarily for Infrared Radiation and Thermography related measurements.
  • Develop automated calibration procedures
  • Design calibration test systems for the calibration of Fluke products
  • Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems
  • Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Working Standards
  • Perform uncertainty analysis in support accredited calibrations
  • Support design engineers in development of metrological specifications for new products
  • Develop control charts and statistical process control for calibration standards
  • Look for ways to improve the calibration process

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in physics is preferred or a bachelors degree in electrical engineering with RF and optics emphasis
  • Solid higher-level math skills such as calculus and application of numerical methods
  • Ability to write code for measurement automation for data analysis process control and calibration procedure development
  • Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited lab strongly preferred
  • Great time management skills
