What Youll Do

Support Mission Engineering (ME) for establishing and maintaining Systems Applications and Products (SAP) structured identification of Technical Objects (Functional Locations (FLOC) and Equipment) in coordination with both project and plant requirements. Apply strategic methods to standardize and maintain plant asset(s) master data applying Asset Life Cycle Management principles. Perform assigned functional lead duties to include application testing development enhancement and maintenance of SAP systems and applications.

Focus on development of the SAP Technical Objects structure for the turnover of projects to plant operations. The future state will be a complete implementation of an integrated process (including software tools) to manage Technical Objects at Y-12.

Other duties include:

Support for the development of processes to build out FLOC structures based on system component noun-name etc.; connections (interfaces) to other functional locations; connections to documents; and grouping functionality
Identify and implement process efficiencies to improve existing business processes
Provide subject matter expertise on system configuration and functionality for Technical Objects hierarchy build-out maintenance and enhancements
Develop and deliver training material to support end user utilization of SAP Technical Objects

Minimum Job Requirements

Bachelors degree
Masters degree
OR eightor more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements for this posting

Preferred Job Requirements

Two years (minimum) of relevant SAP database management data analysis and report generation experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding of and experience with SAP Plant Maintenance/Quality Management (PM/QM) Modules and use of Technical Objects (FLOCS and Equipment) for Structures Systems and Components (SSCs)
Knowledge of the CNS CM program procedures and practices (e.g. Use of SSEL MEL Grading Work Sheet Change Package etc.)

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712) which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.

This position may be categorized as a designated position identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709 requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
