TITLE
Coordinator Residence Education
JOB SUMMARY
The Residence Education Coordinator is directly responsible for the coordination of programs that promote student learning and academic success which includes the implementation of integrated programs and services assessment and evaluation and planning efforts with Student Life units and academic departments. Work is performed under general supervision and performance evaluation is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Assistant Director Residence Education
Supervises: May supervise Student Assistants and Intern(s)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include but not limited to the following:
Manages the operations of the Academic Support Office within the department of University Housing and Dining.
Establishes measures and interprets outcomes related to Academic Support Office goals using various sampling methods.
Oversees the Academic Support Office budget and procurement processes.
Coordinates the implementation of the residential curriculum into Academic Support Office and services provided.
Coordinates the selection and training process for Student Assistants working with working with the Assistant Director for Residence Education.
Coordinates the creation of academic support lesson plans and study groups.
Coordinates and implements the departmental assessment and evaluation program working directly with the Associate Director University Housing & Dining.
Works directly with Academic Affairs and Student Life departments to refine existing programs and develop new programs.
Plans and implements large academic programs and field trips with the faculty and staff working with academic areas to promote academic success of all residents
Establishes measures and interprets outcomes related to Academic Support Office goals using various sampling methods.
Evaluates the Student Assistants.
Publishes a semester calendar of events for students faculty and staff of Academic Support Office events.
Coordinates the annual Academic Excellence Reception and Night at the Library events.
Assist LLC Coordinator with the planning of the annual Living Learning Community Retreat.
Serves on departmental and university committees.
Works collaboratively to promote the Academic Support Office with printed publications website recruitment events and social media.
Communicates with academic support departments regarding early alert program and other retention programs.
Coordinates academic support assistance programs for first and second year students.
Identifies strategies that support students who are academically at risk.
Conducts operations in accordance to regulations of CRLA ITTPC.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Assists with orientation preview days and external promotions.
Performs other duties as requested.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
One year Residence life/housing related experience in areas such as academic support or academic coaching staff supervision facilitating student development activities and involvement with student leadership organizations.
REQUIREMENT
Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

Ability to integrate resources policies and information for the determination of procedures solutions and other outcomes.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students faculty staff and the public.
Ability to communicate effectively orally by phone in person and in writing.
Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment including related university software and email.
