Teacher / CTE Health Science
The Teacher/Career & Technical Educationis responsible for teaching TN State Standards and leading high school students toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual emotional psychological growth and maturation.This full time position DOES include benefits.

Welding
The teacher should have a mission to prepare students for the welding industry.
Applicants must have a current valid educator occupational license with appropriate endorsement (584 or 705) or willingness to obtain. Welding Certification required (AWS U.S. Dept. of Labor Office of Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship or Certified Welding Educator Certification NOCTI Welding 5279).
Occupational work experience and/or education may include:
Five (5) years of relevant work experience completed within the last ten (10) years or
One (1) year of relevant work experience completed within the last ten (10) year and an Associate degree in welding/fabrication or
Bachelors degree in welding/fabrication
Health Science/Nursing Education
The Health Science/Nursing Education Teacher will prepare students for the Health Care Industry. Course instruction will include courses designed to prepare students to pursue careers in the fields of public health therapeutics health services administration diagnostics and support services. The CTE Teacher (grades 9-12) is responsible for teaching TN State CTE Standards to high school students in order to fulfill the requirements of the program of study in the chosen area. This Full-Time position DOES include benefits.
Applicants must have a 577 or 720 endorsement or willingness and eligibility to obtain. Interested candidates may obtain certification through 18 hours of coursework at the university level. The Teacher is also required to complete State reporting each semester and must attend two weeks of summer training in Nashville the first year of service. Education Requirements: Associate degree that is related to/led to the candidates health care license registration or certification. Occupational Work Experience Options: 5 years of relevant work experience completed within the last 10 years; or 1 year of relevant work experience completed within the last 10 years and a Bachelors degree that is related to/led to the candidates health care license; or A masters degree that is related to/led to the candidates health care license. Industry Certification Options: State board of health issued license/certification (from TN or another state); or a license registration or certification verified by a national license accreditation agency.
Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts teacher should have extensive practical culinary experience to teach introductory and advanced courses in culinary arts. Instructional topics may include but not limited to: kitchen safety and sanitation knife cuts and skills cooking methods and techniques and meat fabrication.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma degree preferred.
Work Experience:
a. 5 years of relevant work experience completed within the last 10 years;
b. 3 years of relevant work experience completed within the last 10 years and an Associate degree in culinary arts; or
c. 1 year of relevant work experience completed within the last 10 years and a Bachelors degree in culinary arts.
Example Qualifying Experience: Caterer executive chef head chef pastry chef personal chef restaurant manager.
Priorities are student success through ongoing feedback aligning with the industrys professional and performance standards includes modeling community service involvement. The CTE Teacher (Grades 9-12) is responsible for teaching TN State CTE Standards to high school students in order to fulfill the requirements of the program of study in the chosen area. In addition the Teacher will attain certification through 12 hours of coursework at the university level or a TNDOE state-sponsored Educator Prep Program (EPP). This is a full-time position that does include benefits.
Collision Repair
The Collision Repair Teacher will prepare students for the Automotive Collision Repair Industry. Course instruction will include fundamental metal straightening welding surface preparation and refinishing procedures according to I-CAR and ASE standards. In addition students will be taught to focus on I-CAR and ASE standards in identifying and correcting paint problems automotive electrical technology and career preparation. The CTE Teacher (grades 9-12) is responsible for teaching TN State CTE Standards to high school students in order to fulfill the requirements of the program of study in the chosen area. In addition the Teacher will attain certification through 18 hours of coursework at the university level. The Teacher is also required to complete State reporting each semester and must attend two weeks of summer training in Nashville the first year of service. ASE B-2 ASE B-3 and ASE B-4 or I-Car industry certification. Pathway Options: 1) Associates degree in collision repair/finishing and one (1) year of work experience in endorsement area out of the past eight (8) and industry certification 2) Bachelors degree in collision repair/refinishing and industry certification. They must have strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law. Must meet health and physical requirements.
Aviation
The teacher should provide professional instruction in the area of aviation flight.
Applicants must have a current valid educator occupational license with appropriate endorsement (594 or 774) or willingness to obtain. FAA Industry Certification Required. Occupational work experience must include five (5) years of full time work experience out of the past eight (8) years. Must have strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law. Must meet health and physical requirements.
Cosmetology
The teacher will provide professional instruction in all areas of cosmetology.
Applicants must have a current valid educator occupational license with appropriate endorsement (561) or willingness to obtain. Occupational work experience must include five (5) years of full time work experience out of the past eight (8) years. Must have strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills. Must have satisfactory background/fingerprint checks as required by the Tennessee State Department of Education and state law. Must meet health and physical requirements.
Information Technology
The teacher will provide professional instruction in the area of Cybersecurity Networking Systems Coding and Web Design. In addition this position will also require the teacher to coordinate instruction with TCAT Morristown in order to offer a dual enrollment option for students.
