Job Description

Overview

Founded in 1910 Dignity Health - Community Hospital of San Bernardino is a 347-bed acute care nonprofit community hospital located in San Bernardino California. Known for its programs in maternity care and pediatrics behavioral health and long-term subacute care for adults and children the hospital also includes inpatient and outpatient surgery. Responsibilities

The Radiographer II under the general supervision of the Medical Imaging Management team and the direction of the Radiologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging exams within the California State and national license scope of practice. This role involves operating complex mobile and stationary imaging equipment in various patient care settings to obtain quality diagnostic images in at least two modalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across at least two modalities in accordance with established standards and regulations.
  • Operate mobile and stationary imaging equipment effectively in various patient care settings.
  • Input and retrieve data from Hospital Information Systems (HIS) Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS).
  • Complete assigned duties and shifts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Uphold the Mission and Core Values of Community Hospital of San Bernardino through professional conduct and patient-centered care.

This position requires strong technical skills attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services that align with the hospitals Mission and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years experience in an acute carehospital setting performing a variety ofgeneral diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred. Experiencewith digital imaging systems PACS andbasic health care informatics is desired.
  • Graduate from an accredited JRCERTMedical Radiography School and havepassed the entry level radiography board examination from the ARRT.
  • American Registryof Radiologic Technologists certification (either state or national where appropriate) in two advanced imagingmodalities.May include: Radiology and Fluoroscopy(ARRT and CRT) Computed Tomography (CT- ARRT)Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR- ARRT) or Sonography(ARDMS). (i.e. Nuclear Medicine).
  • California FluoroscopicRadiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6months of hire date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)certificate required.
  • ACR recognized certifications fromadditional licensing authorities for Computed Tomographyand Magnetic Resonance Imaging will be considered.

Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist:arerequired to have documented competency in lieu of state ornational licensure for a second modality. ARRTcertification in Cardiovascular Imaging is preferred
