Job Description
QBE is seeking a motivated career and customer-oriented VTC Engineer II (Journeyman) to join our team in Doral FL.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The VTC Engineer II supports the design implementation maintenance and availability of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems and infrastructure
- They possess a working knowledge of VTC technologies endpoints and network connectivity
- They actively participate in troubleshooting system issues resolving user problems and implementing system upgrades
- They contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation and assist in the implementation of VTC strategies and policies under the guidance of Senior Engineers
- They also work with vendors to resolve technical issues and stay current with emerging VTC technologies and trends
- The VTC Engineer II receives guidance and direction from more senior staff
- clearance.

Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS Computer Science Telecommunications or related discipline/ field necessary to assume VTC Engineer II duties and a minimum of 4 years of relevant VTC Engineer II experience.
- High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associates Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelors degree
- A relevant Masters degree may be granted 2 years experience credit for that extra education. A relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years experience credit for that extra education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing implementing and supporting voice systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Four years of position-specific relevant experience.
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g. SOUTHCOM NORTHCOM CENTCOM CYBERCOM INDOPACOM EUCOM AFRICOM STRATCOM TRANSCOM SOCOM SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be eligible for or have a current/active Secret Eligible
