Description

QBE is seeking a motivated career and customer-oriented VTC Engineer II (Journeyman) to join our team in Doral FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The VTC Engineer II supports the design implementation maintenance and availability of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems and infrastructure
They possess a working knowledge of VTC technologies endpoints and network connectivity
They actively participate in troubleshooting system issues resolving user problems and implementing system upgrades
They contribute to the development and maintenance of system documentation and assist in the implementation of VTC strategies and policies under the guidance of Senior Engineers
They also work with vendors to resolve technical issues and stay current with emerging VTC technologies and trends
The VTC Engineer II receives guidance and direction from more senior staff
clearance.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS Computer Science Telecommunications or related discipline/ field necessary to assume VTC Engineer II duties and a minimum of 4 years of relevant VTC Engineer II experience.
High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associates Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelors degree
A relevant Masters degree may be granted 2 years experience credit for that extra education. A relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years experience credit for that extra education
Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing implementing and supporting voice systems.

Desired Qualifications:

Four years of position-specific relevant experience.
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g. SOUTHCOM NORTHCOM CENTCOM CYBERCOM INDOPACOM EUCOM AFRICOM STRATCOM TRANSCOM SOCOM SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Must be eligible for or have a current/active Secret Eligible
