Director of Labor & Delivery Nursing Senior Nursing Leadership Position

Position Overview
As Director of Labor & Delivery youll oversee a state-of-the-art unit with 40-50 beds and lead a team of 143 healthcare professionals. This role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure excellent patient outcomes and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and 24/7 accountability for L&D operations and patient care delivery
- Lead and mentor a large healthcare team while promoting professional nursing excellence
- Serve as key liaison between physicians nursing staff and hospital administration
- Drive quality improvements and maintain superior patient satisfaction metrics
- Manage department resources budgets and strategic planning initiatives
- Implement evidence-based practices and ensure regulatory compliance
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current RN license with 5 years L&D experience in acute care
- Minimum 2 years management experience in Labor & Delivery
- Proven track record in staff development and team leadership
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships
- Experience with quality metrics and performance improvement
