Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited program. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
One year of RN experience required
NRP required or must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire.
Department/Unit Summary
Our newly renovated Womens Pavilion features spacious homelike rooms with private bathrooms for added comfort and privacy. We also have a new Cesarean delivery suite and nursery.
The L&D RN under the general supervision of the Director and according to established policies and procedures coordinates total nursing care for patients participates in patient and family teaching acts as a patient/family advocate and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
