Job Summary: Teacher Aides assist with the overall operation of the classrooms at AELC supporting the Assistant and Supervising Teachers with instructional activities.
Minimum Qualifications Substitutions Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Minimum Qualifications: - 200 hours minimum prior experience with children in a group care setting and one post-high school course in child development preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to communicate and work effectively with children and adults.
- Physically able to do light housekeeping tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work within the philosophy of the program.

*Years of experience will be expressed in terms of full-time equivalent service with full-time workload equal to one (1) Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) year. No more than 1.00 FTE year may be credited in any twelve (12) month period. Positions working 40 hours or less per week will be pro-rated (30 hrs/wk0.75 FTE9 mos credit; 20 hrs/wk0.5 FTE6 mos credit; 10 hrs/wk0.25 FTE3 mos credit.)*
