About the role
Do you have a strong background in GIS and a desire to make a positive impact in the community
If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our supportive and collaborative Business Systems Group as a GIS Officer.
In this role you will support the delivery of accurate and up-to-date spatial data maintain key datasets and provide mapping services to internal teams and external partners.
Youll be responsible for:
- Maintaining and updating spatial data and metadata
- Creating and managing maps and spatial products
- Supporting staff with GIS tools and systems
- Providing input to projects and consultant briefs
- Assisting emergency services with GIS support when needed

About you
Were looking for someone with:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in GIS or spatial science or equivalent work experience
- Experience using GIS software (in particular ESRI software) and managing spatial data
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Starting salary of around $85K per annum Superannuation
- 12-month temporary full-ime position of 35 hours per week
