Description Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. The Learning Solutions Lead will develop learning strategies to support complex work and business processes design learning plans and content as well as assessments to evaluate program effectiveness.

What will I be doing
- Participates in curricula design activities to emerge with a Learning Solution Roadmap to support strategic plans and initiatives
- Conducts Learning Needs Assessments to ensure that solutions ultimately meet the learners need and optimal performance is achieved.
- Designs and develops multifaceted and personalized programs that include: self-directed learning content facilitator-led learning events and learner supports such as job aids workbooks quick reference sheets user guides etc.
- Writes content with input from Subject Matter Experts and by conducting own research on technical concepts.
- Writes performance focused assessment questions to benchmark the level of the primary audiences before learning and development opportunities are applied and analyzes the results to inform the design of the solution; compare the benchmark assessment results to the final test result to prove if learning has taken place.
- Develops Test Blueprints to ensure that the test items are thoughtfully mapped to the learning objectives
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of an undergraduate degree (Organizational Behaviour Adult Education Human Resource General Humanities Interactive Arts & Science) or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrates progressive responsibility in applying instructional design theories training adults and developing sustainable learning and development solutions. Experience in Change Management or Project Management would be an asset. Experience in the transit industry an asset.
- Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) an asset
- Experience using rapid eLearning development tools such as Articulate 360 Camtasia and Captivate.
- Expertise in applying adult instructional/learning theories and principles learning methodologies and instructional design methodologies.
- Expert in developing learning strategies and plans for a large organization with multiple stakeholders some highly technical and in specialized fields
