Role Detail

Joining our high performing Business Development & Marketing team approx 70 nationally you will provide support for the Business Development (BD) team in the development and preparation of tender/bid submissions client facing materials and maintaining content tools and templates.

This role will have a primary focus supporting our national Real Estate Energy Resources & Infrastructure Construction Environment Planning & Native Title (RECE) Practice Group and related will be seen as the SME for bids within RECE and will work closely with the BD team that supports these areas acting as a vital link to the wider team. With the energy transition pipeline of infrastructure developments and real estate market activity this is an exciting space and an exciting time!

With flexibility to be Sydney Brisbane or Melbourne reporting to a Senior Client Relationship Manager your value add will come from:

  • Leading the project management and delivery of strategic high-value pursuits bids and proposals (national multi-practice group multi-office)
  • Drafting and preparation of high-quality pitch and tenders documentation including leading kick off meetings with partners the development of compelling key messages pricing strategies and value propositions
  • Key liaison point between other KWM internal stakeholders (such as General Counsel Pricing and Conflicts teams) in the development of tender responses
  • Assisting with interview preparation and developing supporting materials
  • Maintenance and development of standard text and expertise libraries including identifying process improvements
  • Maintaining and updating data and reporting in the CRM
  • Identification and participating in tender feedback sessions

About You

As with all roles at KWM you will need an excellence without arrogance ethos and be prepared to pitch in as and when required. We are looking for a bids/tenders professional looking to grow their career who brings tenacity; a genuine enjoyment of bids/tenders and a commercial interest in the RECE space.

You will also need:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience with demonstrated track record of success in business development roles including bids within a corporate professional services or related organisation
  • Proven experience in previous bids roles and or practice development This could be from industries outside of legal such as Engineering and Construction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with confident presentation skills
  • Ability to juggle numerous projects in a fast-paced environment working to tight timetables; composed under pressure
  • Pro-activity and the ability to exercise judgment regarding how/when to push key agenda items forward and how to build interest or buy-in
  • Experience in bids management will be looked on favourably
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing Business Law or Arts will be looked on favourably
