The Content group at NBC Sports Bay Area/California is responsible for the day-to-day planning and production of on-air and digital schedules. Interns will assist in the production of daily content and programs while also helping various production and marketing related initiatives including research audio/video production news gathering editing content.
A snapshot of your responsibilities:
- Screening/logging of games press conferences interviews and taped programs to prepare for editing
- Researching for graphic boards creating on-air graphics and assisting the ticker operators
- Assisting Associate Producers in the edit rooms
- Working on the production of all pregame/postgame programming
- Preparing copying and distributing programming information and scripts
- Executing detail work to procure footage from external sources
- May be assigned additional tasks needed to support the networks day-to-day operations
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026).
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States throughout the entire duration of the internship (September 2025 through April 2026). Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must be available to work 16 to 24 hours per week from September 15 2025 to April 17 2026.
- Must be willing to work in San Francisco California.
Desired Characteristics
- Students with a class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Windows Office Outlook PowerPoint Excel)
- Strong interest in web mobile social media sports and television
- Intermediate media production experience (college programs)
- Knowledge of Bay Area sports (baseball basketball football hockey)
- Excellent verbal written interpersonal and creative skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of following through on projects

- Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from our San Francisco office.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this internship is $19.18 per hour.
