Job Description
What Youll Do:
- Teach advanced Barbering techniquesfades beard work straight-razor shavingand oversee consistent delivery of technical training across all Barbering programs
- Lead and support Educators and Student Educators to ensure high-quality consistent instruction
- Oversee and assist in the training and mentorship of Student Instructors as they work toward licensure maintaining program consistency and excellence
- Partner with the Curriculum Manager and Compliance Department to stay current on state-by-state licensing requirements and ensure all campuses remain compliant
- Evaluate program effectiveness across locations identify areas for growth and help implement improvements
- Monitor student experience retention and outcomestaking proactive steps to support student success
- Apply your professional expertise to advise on student kit selections and support curriculum refinementensuring alignment with Douglas J standards and state board expectations
- Foster a structured professional and supportive learning environment
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For:
- Licensed Barber Instructor (Michigan or able to transfer license)
- Experience managing a barbershop team &/or mentoring licensed Barber Instructors
- Confident in leading both staff and students with clarity structure and high expectations
- Skilled in training and developing new instructors
- Strong understanding of student learning experiences and how to elevate them
- Solid technical background with up-to-date knowledge of tools trends and shop standards
- Familiar with state regulations program compliance and licensure requirements
- Natural leadership presence strong communication and accountability mindset
