Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Power BI Developer with 6 years of expertise in designing and developing enterprise-level BI solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating insightful dashboards and reports translating business requirements into technical solutions and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and deploy Power BI reports dashboards and visualizations using best practices.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Create and maintain efficient and scalable data models using Power BI and DAX.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources (Oracle SQL Server Excel Azure APIs Databricks Snowflake etc.).
- Optimize Power BI datasets and reports for performance and usability.
- Ensure data accuracy integrity and security in all BI solutions.
- Provide end-user training and support for BI tools.
- Collaborate with data engineers analysts and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Stay up to date with Power BI updates and integrate new features into existing solutions.
- Participate in code reviews testing and deployment processes.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or related field.
- 6 years of experience in Power BI development data modeling and visualization.
- Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M).
- Microsoft Power Platform knowledge (Power Apps Power Automate).
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proven experience in handling large datasets and developing performance-optimized dashboards.
- Experience with Power BI Service (publishing gateways workspaces).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control (e.g. Git).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Data Platform (Data Factory Synapse Azure SQL etc.)
- Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau SSRS or Qlik (optional but beneficial).
- Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Power BI certification (e.g. PL-300) is a plus.
