Description
A Quality Engineer in a complex and challenging product line of refrigeration condensing units. This role will work with a quality team cross functional teams and provide quality guidance and support for new and existing products. This role will work with customers to resolve product or process related issues.
As the Quality Engineer you will:
Collaborate with cross functional groups and teams and provide quality guidance and support for new and existing products
Work with customers to resolve any product or process related issues
Facilitate problem solving team meetings
Develop and optimize quality processes systems and methods associated with customer support
Generation of customer quality plans to address issues
Periodically Data collection and analysis
Develop and present technical updates to cross functional teams business unit leaders and customers
Work with plant teams to resolve internal process or supplier material issues that impact customers
Lean / Six Sigma problem solving
Required education experiences & skills:
Bachelors degree in manufacturing mechanical controls or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills
Excellent leadership and presentations skills
Proficient with Microsoft applications: Excel Power Point and Word
Familiar with use of Minitab Statistica or other statistical software
Familiar with use of PLM system such as Team Center or Agile
Ability to travel domestically (up to 20%) and internationally (1-2 times per year)
Familiar with Six Sigma problem solving
Customer and supplier relations experience
Preferred education experiences & skills
ASQ Certified Black Belt or equivalent.
5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Experience with new product line implementation (process controls cycle time correct tools specs data collection)
Product and technical knowledge of refrigeration condensing units

About our Location
The newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for the air conditioning and cold chain businesses. Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location
