The Handel and Haydn Society Coordinator of Learning Programs
Reports to: Director of Learning Programs
Summary: The Coordinator of Learning Programs supports all HH Youth Choruses programming with on-site supervision and operational management throughout the year including Saturday rehearsals and classes. They are a key member of the team responsible for all learning programs and events communications and recording keeping. Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support rehearsals musicianship classes performances tours and recruitment activities.
- Maintain the HHYC music and teaching resources library which includes but not limited to the preparation and distribution of music folders and class materials for singers and faculty. Secure copyright licensing for performances.
- Manage the Learning departments database within Tessitura HHs CRM.
- Track registration information process HHYC payments and prepare all revenue reporting.
- Oversee the performance attire each semester and maintain the partnership with the vendor.
- Prepare physical space for rehearsal classes performances and events.
- Facilitate community-building activities for singers and families and manage engagement by HHYC Ambassadors and parent volunteers.
- Working Schedule: May 20 August 24 2025 (Mon Fri: 9:00am-5:00pm) August 25 May 19 2026 (Tue Sat: 9:00am 5:00pm)
- Support auditions and placements for HHYC ensembles and the High School Soloists program.
- In collaboration with other departments prepare program book content including performance rosters texts and translations and artist bios.
- Proactively increase knowledge in topics related to this position including trends in music education arts administration and the experiences of marginalized communities.
- Support HH Box Office phone queues.
- Support HH subscription concerts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A passion for sharing music with all people.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with people of all ages backgrounds and abilities.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask. Self-starter and effective problem solver.
- Success working both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience working in a youth educational setting including interaction with families.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications. Experience with Zoom and CRM software is a plus but not required.
- Authentic interest in advocacy for music education and the Handel and Haydn Society.
- Fluency in English and another language is desirable.
- Availability to work in the Boston area on Saturdays from 8:OOam-3:OOpm September-May is required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and/or Sundays throughout the year as required for concerts and events.
- License to drive required though having personal access to a vehicle is not required.
Compensation: $50000-$60000. This is a full-time position.
