Job Description

To : All Teaching and Administrative Personnel Brockton Public SchoolsFrom: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject: OT Diagnostician at North Middle SchoolMinimum Qualifications: Current OT license issued by the Commonwealth of MassachusettsCompletion of accredited Occupational therapy program recognized by NBCOTExperience with developing pre-language and language skills oral-motor control of speech production vocalization and the use of assistive technologyKnowledge of writing measurable individualized education plans goals and objectivesAbility to travel between sites as neededDuties and Responsibilities: Comply with policies established by federal and state law and school policy in the areas of program development evaluation and the implementation of consultative services to students and parents/caregivers. Maintain compliance with regulatory timelines and ensure programs developed maintain eligible students in the least restrictive educational environment consistent with federal and state students in all areas of suspected the implementation execution and evaluation of intervention supports and services to students identified by screening and/or referral on a regular basis throughout the school in the development of teacher training and professional development programs appropriate to as needed to community-based programs educating Brockton residents on the academic and developmental progress of the current in new diagnostic assessments and in the IEP TEAM meeting regarding the interpretation of assessment data and development of IEP for and provide training to parents given specific areas of the evaluation and assessment collaboratively with all other members of Diagnostic and Intervention Team. Complete other related duties as assigned. Reports to: Assistant Director of Special Education Work Hours: Middle School ScheduleCompensation: According to contract
