Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct daily workouts and practices
- Attend all practices and basketball games
- Supervise and instruct student-athletes during all team activities
- Prepare the basketball facility for all home games
- Promote balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes
- Communicate effectively with parents students and school administrators
- Motivate athletes
- Assist in building the basketball program and plan for its future
Qualifications
- CPR / First Aid Training Fundamentals of Coaching Training Health and Safety for Coaches and Concussion Training preferred
- Complete orientation through human resources including fingerprinting and background checks
- Within three years of hiring successful completion of the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) course and test entitled Basic Virginia High School League Course accessible at be completed.
