AREA SALES & EVENTS MANAGER Group Sales/Business Travel/Catering
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Area Sales & Events Manager to help us grow our Group revenue Business Travel and catering revenue at three highly sought-after properties located waterfront in Bradenton and Treasure Island Florida. The position offers a base salary commensurate with your level of experience. Moreover you will be eligible for an uncapped commission plan after 90 days of employment which can be highly rewarding for a dedicated sales professional. Additionally you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with our other prestigious properties within our collection which provides significant opportunities for career growth within our organization.
Area Sales & Events Manager Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell the Hotels accommodations event spaces amenities and services to potential clients.
- Maximize Group Room revenue and Food and Beverage.
- Maintain existing accounts and develop new business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients travel agents and other key partners in order to secure group business and business travel.
- Conduct sales presentations property tours and generate proposals to clients.
- Use strong negotiation and communication skills to close sales and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Ability to negotiate intelligently overcome objections and close deals despite market conditions.
- Possess a passion for outstanding customer service and a desire to be the best.
- Possess a strong understanding of hotel operations revenue management event management and local market conditions.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Must be reliable and consistent to the team and to the customer.
- Have a desire to continually learn and develop in our ever-evolving industry.
- Computer skills Delphi Fosse Outlook Microsoft Office Marriott experience is advantageous.
- Collaborate with other departments within the resort to ensure a seamless experience for the client and to maximize sales opportunities.
Area Sales & Events Manager Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality sales. Marriott experience is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Area Sales & Events Manager Compensation:
The base salary for this position is $60000 - $75000 per year with the potential to earn uncapped commission based on sales performance.
