PURPOSE
This positionwill assistthe professional Media Specialists with the operation of the circulation desk including daily scheduling and assisting students and staff. Other duties will include general clerical tasks associated with day-to-day operation of the media center.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports To: Building Administration and Media Specialist (s)
Supervises: None
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum: High school diploma. Microsoft Office proficient. Accurate and detail-oriented.
Preferred: Clerical experience is desired. Prior use of office equipment is preferred.
Ideal candidate will have a professional and friendly demeanor with a demonstrated ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment.

Language: Complete forms and write reports; Present information effectively and respond to questions; Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Computation: Perform basic mathematical functions such as adding subtracting multiplying and dividing.
Reasoning: Solve a variety of problems in many differentsituations; Interpret instructions presented in written oral diagram or schedule form; Demonstrate excellent organizational skills; frequently sort and organize items using alphabetical numeric and other ordering systems.
Technology: Perform basic computer functions such as word processing and internet use; Use district software; Utilize smart boards projectors and other instructional technology provided by the district; Willing to learn new technologies and assiststudents and staff in the use of same technologies.
Other Skills and Abilities: Identify needs and abilities of individual studentsand to adapt methods accordingly; Establish and maintaineffective relationships with students and staff; Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizework to meet deadlines; Be service and team-oriented and demonstrate a positive enthusiastic outgoing personality; Demonstrate initiative and be able to work without supervision.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this positionan employee is regularly required to speak and hear in a library environment move around the library read handwritten or printed material shelve materials and locate books and other materials in the media center.
Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
