The Pelham Public School District is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of part-time .20 fte Elementary Classroom Music Teacher. The Classroom Music Teacher works under the supervision of the Building Principal and is responsible for teaching music education to students in grades K-6 and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of music and performing Arts instruction. The Classroom Music teacher supports student growth in their enjoyment appreciation and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing moving to music playing of instruments play/musicals and listening and performs other duties directly related to this job description. Successful candidates will have working knowledge of the current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for the Arts at the elementary school level and demonstrated success working in a collaborative educational setting.
All candidates must hold current and valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification as an Academic: Teacher Music: Vocal/Instrumental/General at all levels. Bilingualand bi-cultural applicants are encouraged to apply.
