WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Tally Clerk creates inventory systematically as its physically produced audits inventory to ensure physical and system attributes match and are correct and that all new inventory meets criteria for acceptance into the warehouse. Additionally responsible for coordinating production on correcting issues with new production and on handling rework product.
- At the beginning of the shift report to the tally workstation check work orders labels codes and stack patterns for the production being run turn on the label printer roller and check to ensure boxes of labels are available at the stating area and notify Forklift Driver as needed.
- Monitor the full pallets of finished goods print and apply labels to full pallets and maintain production paperwork as required.
- Monitor the cases and full pallets for quality and remove damaged or non-conforming as needed.
- Process new production to ensure physical inventory is reflected accurately systematically and that inventory meets criteria for acceptance into the warehouse.
- Document audits of new production.
- Coordinate production on correcting issues with any new production and the timely physical and systematic handling of rework product.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues preventing the systematic processing of new production.
- Reconcile production pack out against item demand to identify shorts or overages.
- Ensure inventory in the physical deposit location for new production matches whats showing systematically.
- Complete process audits to monitor the adherence of handling procedures including investigation to determine root cause and communication to necessary parties.
- Ensure departmental compliance with company policies and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to accurately write routine reports and simple correspondence.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced high-pressure environment.
- Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work as a team and follow instructions.
- Confident learning and using the equipment and tools used to perform the job
- Possess basic mathematical skills (such as adding and subtracting)
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred: Access Excel Outlook SharePoint and Word
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; six to nine months of related warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Experience with JD Edwards and Red Prairie WMS a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to ascend and descend ramps steps ladders stairs using three-point contact.
- Environment exposure hot/humid conditions (95 or above).
- Environmental exposure cold/wet conditions (40 or below).
- Ability to work in warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock (34 degrees).
- Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as fumes airborne particles and vibrations.
- Ability to lift carry push and/pull up to 30 lbs.; stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stoop bend kneel crouch reach and twist; climb steps/stairs.
- Operator office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
1st Shift 6:15AM to 5:00PM Overtime Weekends and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
