Job Description
Overview
As our CT Tech at CHI Williston Health you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
Every day youll create cross-section images of the skeleton tissues and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.
To be successful in this role youll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow various patient positioning techniques and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities
- Able to perform all CT exams within scope of practice capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure markers and shielding and knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
- Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
- Able to use CR reader erase CR cassettes send images from CR reader and perform image manipulation as necessary.
- Able to access PACS review studies and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues close studies as reviewed burn CDs transfer images and print from PACS.
- Records all care information concisely accurately and completely in a timely manner in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
- Maintains order stock and cleanliness of all areas in the department
- Practices safe work habits compliance with safety rules and regulations and adheres to safety policies
- Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines policies and procedures
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology.
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Registered Technologist Radiography (RTR).
- Medical Radiographer (MRAD) State of North Dakota.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RT-CT).
- within 24 months of start.
- Certification for American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- within 30 days of start.
Required Minimum Knowledge Skills Abilities and Training
- Strong oral communications skills
- Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- CE Continuing Education qualifications for CT
