Job Description

POSITION:Maintenance Lead

PAY RATE: Hourly Grade 5

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

SHIFT: M-F

Purpose and role of job:

Responsible for supervising directing instructing and training of all maintenance technicians engaged in the daily maintenance and up-keep of the machinery and or equipment. Responsible for maintaining troubleshooting repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment machinery and components.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

  • Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
  • Follows necessary GMP FDA and ISO regulations.
  • Oversees the repair of all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Operates all machines so that maintenance changeovers and adjustments can be tested when complete.
  • Assists in the scheduling and planning of all corrective/preventive maintenance lubrication changeovers and engineering trials on all equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Coordinates preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and takes corrective action promptly.
  • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
  • Assists supervisor with all performance appraisals as required.
  • Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
  • Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
  • Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of industrial experience or equivalent.
  • Any technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
  • Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.
  • Highly advanced or specialized mechanical knowledge of all machinery equipment and components.
  • Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of product specifications quality specifications goals efficiency scrap and production.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use all measuring tools micrometers vernier calipers etc.
  • Ability to run the equipment hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Ability to lead others through example coaching and development.
