Job Description
POSITION:Maintenance Lead
PAY RATE: Hourly Grade 5
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
SHIFT: M-F
Purpose and role of job:
Responsible for supervising directing instructing and training of all maintenance technicians engaged in the daily maintenance and up-keep of the machinery and or equipment. Responsible for maintaining troubleshooting repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment machinery and components.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
- Follows necessary GMP FDA and ISO regulations.
- Oversees the repair of all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
- Operates all machines so that maintenance changeovers and adjustments can be tested when complete.
- Assists in the scheduling and planning of all corrective/preventive maintenance lubrication changeovers and engineering trials on all equipment.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Coordinates preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and takes corrective action promptly.
- Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
- Assists supervisor with all performance appraisals as required.
- Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
- Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
- Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.
Education and experience requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of industrial experience or equivalent.
- Any technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
- Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.
- Highly advanced or specialized mechanical knowledge of all machinery equipment and components.
- Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of product specifications quality specifications goals efficiency scrap and production.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to use all measuring tools micrometers vernier calipers etc.
- Ability to run the equipment hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Ability to lead others through example coaching and development.
