College of Community Innovation and Education Center for Community Schools:
The UCF College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) brings together academic programs centers and institutes focused on building stronger communities and elevating the human experience. The Center for Community Schools is a practice-based organization that provides community school technical assistance university-assisted partnerships training and development and assessment and evaluation.
The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager II that will oversee and advance the Center for Community Schools technical assistance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical assistance a strong understanding of community school operations and a commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships. The Program Manager II role will provide leadership in planning implementing and evaluating community school best practices across Florida and beyond. Additionally this position supervises Program Managers for Technical Assistance ensuring alignment with the Centers mission strategic goals and grant-funded activities.
This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Direct supervision and support of Program Managers for Technical Assistance providing leadership and guidance on statewide technical assistance strategies.
Facilitate professional development and performance evaluations for supervised staff.
Ensure technical assistance efforts align with best practices in community schools and strategic priorities.
Lead the development and implementation of technical assistance frameworks and resources for emerging developing and implementing community schools.
Provide expert consultation to nonprofits school districts community partners and statewide stakeholders on community school models and strategies.
Ensure fidelity to research-based approaches in technical assistance delivery.
Collaborate with the Center Director and Assistant Director of Technical Assistance to refine and expand statewide technical assistance efforts.
Design and oversee a continuous improvement model for technical assistance activities ensuring measurable outcomes are met.
Design internal efforts to contribute to and glean best practices from UCF Community Partnership Schools certification and readiness reports in efforts to improve community school implementation.
Oversee grant-related compliance ensuring that technical assistance initiatives meet funding requirements.
Lead the preparation of summaries for committees boards and reports for state grants and federal funding agencies including quarterly and annual evaluations.
Represent the Center for Community Schools at national state and local conferences networks and events.
Develop and present findings best practices and emerging trends in community school implementation.
Develop and contribute to the Centers technical assistance materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Education Public Administration Social Sciences or a closely related field is strongly preferred reflecting advanced knowledge and strategic thinking in program management.
1 year Site-level community school operations core-position experience.
1 year Technical assistance and/or Community school management experience.
1 year supervisory experience.
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams integrating efforts across departments such as curriculum operations and community engagement to achieve program objectives.
Ability to travel statewide to support program implementation conduct site visits and engage with community stakeholders ensuring consistent program delivery across initiative.
Excellence in both written and verbal communication.
