Overview
Surgical Technician II
*Eligible for a $10000 Sign-on Bonus*
As our Surgical Tech II at St. Joseph you will help assist in patient care and preparation of surgical patients.
Every day you will perform scrub duties and related procedures in accordance with your license be accountable for ensuring maintenance of sterile fieldand supplies/equipment for selected speciality.
To be successful in this role you must perform in the advanced roles of preceptor and understand sterile techniques for instruments and surgical situations.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assists surgical team in the scrubbing role according to prescribed standards and licensure
- Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure
- Passes instruments suture products medication and sponge materials to surgeon
- Maintains sterile field. Reports immediately any breaks in aseptic technique
- Assists with retracting of tissue and organs and suctioning by holding the retracting instrument
which has been placed by the surgeon
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- CST or CSFA or OR LVN
