Those in cloud operations at PwC will focus on managing and optimising cloud infrastructure and services to enable seamless operations and high availability for clients. You will be responsible for monitoring troubleshooting and implementing industry leading practices for cloud-based systems.

- Proven/Hands-on experience with AWS Glue and other AWS services like S3 Lambda and Redshift.
- AWS Glue Amazon S3 AWS Lambda Amazon Redshift SQL Python ETL Data Transformation and Data Integration
- Managing and support the Dev to Production cloud IaaS and platform to establish quality performance and availability of hosted services.
- Providing guidance and support for cloud technology practitioners (Application Development teams)
- Running and maintaining production services.
- Working on high volume mission critical systems.
- Providing on call support for Production cloud Environments.
- Working hands-on with customers to develop migrate and debug services issues.
- Providing updated server/process documentation and as appropriate creating documentation where none may exist.
- Focusing on rapid identification and resolution of customer issues.
- Answering questions and perform initial triage on problem reports.
- Providing first/second level cloud environment support.
- Working very closely with application users to troubleshoot and resolve cloud hosted applications or system issues.
- Informing Technical Support Management about any escalations or difficult situations that require his/her involvement.
- Providing Cloud customers with an industry leading customer experience when engaging Technical Support.
- Assisting in Tier 2 triage troubleshooting remediation and escalation of tickets tied to the product support function.
- Training and supporting junior team members in resolving product support tickets.
- Identifying ways to optimize the product support function.
- Coordinating with Tier 3 support to establish and manage clear escalation guidelines for supported system components.
- Running database queries to lookup resolve issues.
- Demonstrating proven communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with developers and application team to negotiate and schedule patching windows; and
- Demonstrating experience in managing the monthly Windows or Linux environment patching.
- Analyzing existing application portfolios develop next-gen application architecture transformation and modernization roadmap
- Conducting cloud solutions architecture review/audit and create review/audit report
- Leading implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution go-live

WHAT YOU HAVE
- Avid technologist with deep expertise in modern cloud architecture and history of successful Operation support of complex AWS Azure or GCP solutions
- Hands-on knowledge with IaC using Terraform Github Devops
- Production support experience with large scale Cloud Native hybrid environments.
- Large-scale software maintenance or application engineering background with recent coding experience in some of the following languages: Java JavaScript C/C C# Objective-C .NET Python PHP or Ruby
- Maintaining applications using container and serverless technologies
- Experience working on highly available systems that utilize load balancing horizontal scalability and high availability
- Hands-on experience with applications including web services relational and non-relational databases front-end and/or back-end technologies.
- Experience working with highly scalable performant and mission critical architectures
- Ability to suggest competitive and innovative technical decisions get client buy-in and deliver commitments
- Strong communication skills ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in the design and delivery of systems based on IaaS PaaS and SaaS offerings as well as exposure to different architecture models
- Experience with building or working with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of security network virtualization load balancer storage and database
- Container technologies experience (e.g. Kubernetes OpenShift)
- Good exposure to Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deployment
- Demonstrating proven verbal and written communication skills which will be key in driving customer communication during critical events.
- Demonstrating proficiencies in at least one of the technology domains Networking Principles System Administration of Linux (Ubuntu CentOS RedHat) DevOps Configuration Management and Continuous Integration Technologies (Chef Puppet Docker Jenkins).
- Demonstrating proven understanding of ITIL framework & Hands-on experience working with an ITSM platform.
Nice to have (not required) Containerization and Automation skills:
- Experience in designing / architecting Container / DevOps Cloud Native platform including Docker and Kubernetes / OpenShift.
- Coding/scripting skills (Bash Python PowerShell or similar) is preferred.
- Relevant expert cloud certifications are highly desirable.
- Windows and/or Linux sys op background is desirable.
- Expert knowledge of best practices: object-oriented design SOLID principles CI/CD testing.
- Strong software engineering background with a strong knowledge of modern architectural patterns (microservices Event-Driven Architectures Event Sourcing Domain Driven Design).
