Job Description
Overview
The SAP SCM MM Consultant plays a crucial role in the implementation and management of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes within the organization. This position is pivotal for optimizing inventory management procurement and operational efficiencies that directly impact the bottom line. The consultant will work closely with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into SAP solutions. By leveraging in-depth knowledge of SAP MM functionalities the consultant will provide guidance on best practices system configurations and process improvements to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities. Successful candidates will possess both technical proficiency in SAP tools and strong communication skills to facilitate training and knowledge-sharing among team members. Furthermore this role involves engaging with cross-functional teams to align supply chain strategies with business objectives ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements related to procurement and inventory management.
- Configure and tailor SAP MM modules to meet organizational needs.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Provide support during system upgrades and enhancements.
- Facilitate training sessions for end-users on SAP MM processes and functionalities.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend improvements in stock management practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supply chain solutions.
- Resolve issues pertaining to SAP MM functionalities quickly and efficiently.
- Develop documentation for configuration changes and process updates.
- Assist in the development of Supply Chain strategies related to procurement.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures in SCM processes.
- Utilize analytical tools to generate reports for informed decision-making.
- Act as a liaison between IT and business units for SCM initiatives.
- Participate in project planning and implementation activities.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with SAP MM modules.
- Strong understanding of SCM principles and processes.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
- Certifications in SAP MM or related SCM areas.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in leading SAP implementation projects.
- Knowledge of related SAP modules (SD PP WM) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance in SCM.
