We required QC head (Transformer industry) for our company at POR
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
- Develop implement and maintain quality management systems to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to ISO and other relevant industry standards (e.g. IEC ANSI).
- Conduct regular audits of the QMS and improve processes as necessary.
- Testing and Inspection:
- Oversee the testing and inspection of raw materials components and finished transformer products.
- Develop testing procedures and work closely with engineering teams to ensure they align with industry standards.
- Ensure that factory acceptance tests (FAT) site acceptance tests (SAT) and other quality assessments are carried out accurately and consistently.
- Quality Control Strategy and Planning:
- Design and implement quality control policies procedures and best practices for transformer manufacturing.
- Analyze data and feedback from production and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects.
- Ensure continuous improvements in the QC processes for better quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead train and mentor the QC team to ensure high levels of performance engagement and knowledge of quality control standards.
- Ensure that QC personnel are adequately trained on testing methods troubleshooting and industry best practices.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials components and subassemblies used in transformer production.
- Evaluate and audit suppliers to verify their compliance with quality standards.
- Resolve any quality issues with suppliers in a timely manner.
- Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving:
- Investigate and resolve quality issues arising during production or post-production.
- Conduct root cause analysis of non-conformances implement corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to address recurring quality problems.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality control activities.
- Prepare regular quality reports for senior management including product quality status defect rates and any corrective actions taken.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards through proper documentation and reporting.
- Customer Quality Assurance:
- Manage customer quality complaints and feedback ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure that transformer products meet customer specifications and performance expectations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality control within the manufacturing or transformer industry with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of transformer design and manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in quality control methodologies including Six Sigma FMEA and SPC.
- Strong leadership team management and communication skills.
