Founded in 1965 the Chinese-American Planning Council Inc. (CPC) aims to promote the social and economic empowerment of Chinese American immigrant and low-income communities. Today CPC is the nations largest Asian American social services agency and offers more than 50 programs at over 35 sites throughout New York City including early childhood education school-age care youth services workforce development community services and senior services. CPC strives to be the premier social service and leadership development organization. In 2017 CPC launched Advancing Our CommUNITY its organization-wide strategy to expand services to address persistent needs and emerging trends and to improve leadership skills among staff and community members. In 2021 CPC served over 125000 individuals and families from all 56 community districts of New York City by providing high-quality learning opportunities for all ages offering personalized social resources and developing their career paths. The Caseworker is a vital team member within the Office for New Americans (ONA) Opportunity Center. The Caseworker is the first point of contact for community members and performs a range of tasks which can include naturalization application assistance and legal support coordination as well as performing client intake immigration relief assessment and referrals as needed. The role also includes a range of clerical-related duties.
