The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA is looking for a Director Performance Marketing to join our Denver/hybrid team.

The Director of Performance Marketing is responsible for leading our performance marketing efforts to drive measurable growth. In this role the Director will develop and execute high-impact multi-channel campaigns that acquire new customers retain existing ones and scale revenue efficiently in addition to leading a team of marketers and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with company goals.

Requirements

Essential Functions


Strategic Leadership

  • Own the overall performance marketing strategy setting clear goals for customer acquisition retention and revenue growth across all digital channels.
  • Develop channel-specific strategies for email paid social paid search programmatic display and emerging channels.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align marketing goals with broader business objectives and provide strategic recommendations based on performance data.
  • Identify new growth opportunities such as emerging platforms market segments and untapped audiences.

Campaign Development & Execution

  • Oversee the planning execution and optimization of conversion-focused marketing campaigns across all channels: email search social display video and more.
  • Build test-and-learn frameworks for creative audience segmentation bidding strategies and landing page performance to maximize ROI.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Own develop and manage the performance marketing budget ensuring efficient allocation of spend based on historical data growth targets and market dynamics.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure proper execution and maintenance of the budget.
  • Own forecasting models for campaign performance and customer acquisition cost (CAC) lifetime value (LTV) return on ad spend (ROAS) and other core metrics.
  • Identify and correct inefficiencies in spend and campaign structure across all channels.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of performance marketers; support their professional growth through coaching and development.
  • Provide clear performance objectives and accountability measures for the team and third-party agencies or freelancers.
  • Foster a high-performance culture of experimentation continuous learning and data-driven decision-making.

Analytics Attribution & Reporting

  • Oversee revenue tracking and attribution ensuring campaigns are accurately measured across multiple touchpoints.
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics Looker Power BI or proprietary dashboards to monitor campaign performance in real-time.
  • Provide weekly monthly and quarterly performance updates to stakeholders with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Drive integration and optimization of attribution models (first-touch last-touch multi-touch) and customer journey analysis to guide media investments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the product finance IT and sales teams to ensure a cohesive and consistent customer acquisition and retention strategy.
  • Partner with web experience and CX teams to improve landing page performance and reduce friction in the user journey.

Compliance & Platform Best Practices

  • Ensure all campaigns adhere to data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR CCPA) and platform policies.
  • Stay up to date on the latest changes in ad platform algorithms tracking technologies and audience targeting capabilities.
  • Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

Supervisory duties


Direct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; coaching mentoring and providing guidance; planning assigning and directing work; setting goals appraising performance and recognizing achievements; addressing performance or behavioral issues; and resolving employee concerns.


Knowledge skills and abilities

  • Ability to consistently promote support work and act in a manner in support of MGMAs mission vision and values.
  • Demonstrated self-starter who takes initiative while working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly strategic and capable of consulting with product teams and other stakeholders to determine optimal marketing campaigns to achieve product and organizational goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work very effectively within and across the organizations departments
  • Strong analytical skills able to track marketing campaign results cross-tab various data sources review data from different angles and make improvement suggestions.
  • Able to work effectively with a creative team to produce quality materials that reinforce the message and the brand.
  • Skilled with business tools including Microsoft (Word Excel PPT SharePoint Excel and similar) and virtual meeting tools including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Have a solid understanding of martech stack tools specifically marketing automation platforms such as Marketo and CRM integrations such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously assimilate feedback from multiple stakeholders and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Ambitous learner who strives for continuous improvement and advancement.

Education

  • A Bachelors Degree in Marketing Business Business Analytics or a related field is required.
  • A Masters degree in any of the related fields stated is preferred

Experience

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in marketing including three years of leading a marketing department function.
  • Four (4) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Healthcare or Association experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.


Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.

This is a largely sedentary role so employee must be able to remain in a sedentary position while focusing for extended periods of time throughout the workday. Position also requires occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets printers etc. While performing the duties of this job employee is regularly required to successfully navigate scenarios requiring the following operational abilities:

  • Ability to operate PC/keyboard and other office productivity equipment
  • Ability to position self to traverse/navigate around typical office setting
  • Ability pull/push lift open/close grasp/manipulate transport up to 10 lbs.
