Job Description

David Kennedy Recruitment has partnered with an international financial services company that specializes in a high-quality trading environment. Together were looking for a motivated Malay speaking Business Development Manager to join their team in Kuala Lumpur.


Position: Business Development Manager (Malay)

Location: Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Work model: on-site

Employment type: full time.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline to support business growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through industry knowledge market insights and professional networking.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients serving as the main point of contact for key accounts.
  • Create and execute business development strategies to enhance the companys market presence and expand client base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and operations to support sales initiatives and improve customer engagement.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to understand client needs industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients attend industry events and support market expansion efforts.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native or fluent in Malay (C1 level) with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication as well as English fluency (B2).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development or sales preferably in financial services fintech or a related sector.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and trading environments (e.g. Forex equities or similar industries).
  • Strong interpersonal relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
