Job Description
Backend Developer is responsible for the server-side logic databases and infrastructure of web applications and software ensuring the functionality and security of the system behind the scenes. They write code design APIs manage databases and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing and developing server-side logic:
This includes creating the core application logic that processes requests and interacts with databases.
Building and maintaining databases:
Backend developers manage databases ensuring data integrity security and optimal performance.
Developing and maintaining APIs:
They create APIs that enable communication between the front-end and back-end components of an application.
Optimizing application performance:
Backend developers focus on ensuring the application runs efficiently and responds quickly to user requests.
Troubleshooting and debugging issues:
They diagnose and fix problems related to server-side code and database interactions.
Integrating with third-party services and databases:
They work with external systems to enhance application functionality.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends:
They keep abreast of new technologies and best practices to improve application development.
Essential Skills:
Programming languages: Proficiency in server-side languages like Python Java Ruby PHP or .
