Job Description
A leading financial services organization is expanding its Business Intelligence (BI) function to support key initiatives across Finance & Operations Governance & Controls and Customer-Facing Advisory areas. We are hiring 5 BI Developers/Engineers to support high-impact data work while managing essential business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills proactive ownership and the ability to collaborate closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams in a data-sensitive environment.
- Conduct data investigation data analysis and ensure data quality across various Wealth datasets
- Develop data pipelines and transformations using Databricks SQL PySpark and Python.
- Create impactful dashboards and visualizations in Tableau (preferred) or Power BI.
- Gather requirements from business users and translate them into technical BI solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning and cross-functional delivery discussions.
- Take ownership of assigned deliverables and support their full lifecycle.
Requirements
- SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation
- Python and PySpark for data processing in Databricks
- Tableau (preferred) and/or Power BI for data visualization
- Experience with Azure cloud environments and notebook development in Databricks
- Strong grasp of data quality root cause analysis and automated data pipelines
- Excellent communication skills to work with both business and technology stakeholders
- Proven ability to work independently take initiative and adapt in a high-change environment
Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possesses analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Extensive experience working with large data sets. Any/all financial sector experience is an asset. Demonstrates applied knowledge of one or more analysis and problem decomposition techniques. Understands complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the Feasibility, Requirements, and Analysis phases. Understands and can explain to others the core processes involved in their area of support. Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth. Data driven decision making - In-depth.
