We have an exciting opportunity for an additional Graduate to join our 2025 Technical Development Programme (TDP) intake in AbbVie Ballytivnan Sligo! AbbVie Ballytivnan is a Centre of Excellence for Precision High Volume Moulding and Auto-Assembly and is a state-of-the-art Biologics aseptic fill finish facility. This site one of four in our network represents our aseptic fill finish Centre of Excellence.
The TDP is a site-specific three-year programme comprised of three twelve-month rotations assignments in different areas of Operations. Assignments are crafted to develop exceptional functional and technical skills by working on a wide range of projects and gaining exposure to different areas within operations with each assignment.
Over the course of the three-year programme you will be given extensive opportunities to develop both professionally and personally which will give you the required skills needed for future success within our organisation. We will work with you to create a personalised development plan to serve as a step-by-step guide towards the experiences knowledge and resources necessary to achieve your career goals.
The Programme provides members with experiential learning formal training and performance management along with mentoring by our leaders. The Programme takes a personalised approach that incorporates members skills interests as well as business need into assignment selection. Most importantly this programme helps build future technical leaders of AbbVie.

So lets tell you a little more about this role!
As a member of the Technical Development Programme in AbbVie Ballytivnan you will;
- Work on assignments and cross functional project teams within AbbVies operations departments such as; Technical Operations New Product Introduction Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) Drug Products.
- Receive extensive on the job training and participate in professional training courses that give all the tools needed to become a Technical Subject Matter Expert.
- Work with a mentor and your assignment managers to map out a career path with AbbVies operations.
- Develop a well-rounded skill set through each of your assignments.
Examples of rotations could include:
- Operations
- Engineering
- Technical Operations
- Quality
Qualifications :
Education:
- You will be graduating in 2025 or a recent graduate (within 1-2 years) with a Bachelors or Masters in an engineering discipline (Chemical/Mechanical/Biomedical or similar).
Technical Skills and Experience:
- At least one internship or similar working experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong academic performance and extra-curricular achievement.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork adaptability innovation initiative integrity and professional maturity.
- Highly ambitious as well as strong aspiration to develop into a Technical Subject Matter Expert.
- Excellent presentation time management and attention to detail skills.
