Senior Electrical Controls Engineer - Manufacturing Automation Specialist
Join our innovative manufacturing team as a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer where youll lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions. This role combines electrical engineering expertise with advanced PLC programming to drive manufacturing excellence.
Position Overview
As our Senior Electrical Controls Engineer youll spearhead the development and optimization of electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment working at the intersection of automation robotics and industrial control systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop sophisticated electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Lead PLC and Motion Control programming initiatives using Allen-Bradley CompactLogix systems
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the manufacturing engineering team
- Collaborate with R&D Quality and Production teams on new product development
- Manage complex automation projects from concept through implementation
- Develop and maintain documentation including schematics procedures and Engineering Change Orders
- Optimize production processes through innovative automation solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET)
- 5 years of experience in industrial automation and controls
- Expert-level knowledge of Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs and EtherNet/IP
- Proven experience with HMI development and vision systems
- Strong background in power distribution and industrial networking
- Experience with Fanuc robotics and IAI Linear Actuators
