Job Description
Director of Project Management Development Position Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the strategic vision for project management talent development across all construction operations.
- Build and oversee career development frameworks learning paths and training curricula for project engineers assistant PMs PMs and senior PMs.
- Partner with field operations and HR to assess skills gaps and implement targeted development solutions.
- Launch and manage training programs leadership bootcamps certification tracks (e.g. PMP) and mentoring initiatives.
- Facilitate development planning and coaching for high-potential individuals and succession candidates within PM roles.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure training effectiveness knowledge retention and leadership readiness.
- Work closely with project executives and operational leaders to identify future needs ensure alignment with business goals and support field-readiness.
- Lead vendor selection and manage relationships with external trainers learning platforms and credentialing partners.
- Ensure all programs meet internal quality standards and support a culture of safety accountability and operational excellence.
- Represent the PM development function in organizational planning and workforce strategy initiatives.
- Collaborate with corporate and operational leadership teams to train the workforce on current project management systems and processes.

Director of Project Management Development Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Business Organizational Development or related field required.
- Masters degree preferred.
- PMP CSPM or equivalent required
- TOPS license required
- 10 year of experience in construction project management or operational management required
- Deep knowledge of construction project lifecycles and operational challenges
- Deep understanding of construction project roles and workflows
- Strong leadership coaching and facilitation skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Strategic mindset with an ability to translate business needs into development programs
- Skilled in performance measurement learning platforms and change management.
