Job Description

Purpose of the job role:
Maintains a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Qualifications and Training
SIA Approved training desirable
Level 2 Health and Safety desirable
Main Responsibilities
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings equipment and access points; permitting entry.
Obtains help by sounding alarms.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
Controls traffic by directing drivers.
Completes reports by recording observations information occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
Maintains organisations stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Working Hours
4 on 4 off shift pattern 06:00 - 18:00 hours Monday to Sunday.
Pay
From 12.94 per hour with additional benefits

Requirements
Qualifications and Training
SIA Approved training desirable
Level 2 Health and Safety desirable
Proven experience as a security officer/guard.
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Excellent surveillance and observation skills Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems Registered as a security officer
