SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST ASSISTANT (SLPA)

Early Learning Center (1.0)

Start Date: August 26 2025

JOB GOAL/PURPOSE:This position provides direct services to students based on IEP goals and services. Consult and supervision is provided by aSpeech Language Pathologist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree Required; Bachelors Degree PreferredCommonwealth of MassachusettsBoard of Allied Health Professionals licensure
  • Experience as a SLPA in a school setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Technology experience

REPORTS TO:Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITY:
direct services as indicated on the students Individualized
Education Programwith consultation and supervision bySpeech Language Pathologist.
2. Collects and maintains data on student progress per the IEP goals as well as direct logs of therapy services.
3. Maintain compliance of regulations of Individualized Education Program development team meetings Medicaid billing and progress reports.

4. Participate in the development of students Individual Education Program (IEP) with direct supervision bySpeech Language Pathologist.
5. Assist with the management of communication and amplification devices.
6. Assist teachers and other special education staff in the development and implementation of curriculum accommodations/modifications and appropriate classroom strategies as determined by the Team process and subsequent IEP formulation with direct supervision bySpeech Language Pathologist.

8. Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor

EXPERIENCE:

Safety Care trained preferred

1-2 yearsworking in a school setting

Training in Lindamood Bell

Spanish speaking preferred
