Attach college transcript to SchoolSpringRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Plan preseason injury prevention programsProvide on-site emergency careCommunicate with coaching staff school officials parents medical professionals and physiciansFit athletic equipmentProvide evaluation treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuriesProvide record keeping for athletic injuries and athletic training facility equipment and suppliesAssist Athletic Director/Assistant Athletic Director and school nurse in designing and implementing a medical records system for athletic injuriesManage medical documentation and return to play protocolsReview pre-participation physicals and insurance documentsOversee concussion baseline testing for student-athletes and post injury testingFill out injury reports and submit to the Athletic Director when injury occurs at practice/eventCoordinate and provide injury follow up and evaluation of student-athletesProvide training for coaches on triage techniques for injured athletes until medical assistance is availableMonitor athletic injuries/develop rehabilitation programsProvide on-site rehabilitation services for physician ordered therapyKeep daily log of treatments provided to student-athletes Discuss injury with student-athletes parents/ advice to student-athletes coaches and parents to the care and prevention of athletic injuries recommended protection and safety ideals to an injuryProvide Certified Weight Management Program Assessments by a RIIL certified assessorEquip and maintain the Lincoln High School training room with medical treatment and rehabilitation/strength and conditioning equipment and suppliesProperly prepare med kits for each team each seasonMaintain AEDsMeet with each athletic team pre-season to outline athletic training services including but not limited to injury prevention rehabilitation nutrition strength and conditioning and injury careDevelop and maintain the budget for the Athletic Training ProgramWork with Local EMS and update the School District Emergency Action Plan on a regular basis and educate the coaching staff to each planServe as on-site supervisor and determine safety of activities during inclement weather (lightning heat etc.)Initiate Emergency Medical System (EMS) by contacting 911 or directing someone to do so when deemed necessaryProvide First Aid and emergency care to the visiting team student-athletes if notified to do so by game officials site officials or the visiting team coach Attend off-campus sporting events as needed Tape wrap and bandage student-athletes to prevent injury or re-injury Administer care for fractures dislocations sprains strains concussions contusions cuts and abrasionsInteract appropriately with students staff faculty and the general publicLearn and apply district policies and proceduresLift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 poundsPerform all related tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director/Assistant Athletic Director as requested
