Job Details
SVA Consulting is seeking a motivated and experienced SDLCManagerto lead and optimize the software development lifecycle within our Business Applications Delivery team. This role is critical in ensuring that our development processes are efficient scalable and aligned with industry best practices. Additionally this position will provide formal and informalleadershipto a team of software developers business analysts and quality assurance professionals fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Coordination
- While not initially responsible for formal team management this role will be heavily focused on the teams success. This includes fostering a culture ofaccountability collaboration and continuous learningwithin the team.
- In conjunction with other leaders this role will serve as a key escalation point fortechnical and process-related challenges ensuring timely resolution.
- Partner with senior leadership to advocate for and driveemployee engagement retention and professional development initiatives.
SDLC Governance & Best Practices
- Develop implement and continuously improveSDLC processesto enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Ensure the teams compliance withsecurity regulatory and quality standardsthroughout the development lifecycle including internal and external products.
- Determine best approach implement and manageAgile Waterfall or hybrid methodologiesbased on project needs.
- In consultation with other leaders establishDevOps CI/CD pipelines and automationstrategies to improve deployment efficiency.
Project & Process Management
- Oversee the execution ofdevelopment projects ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate withbusiness analysts developers QA teams and project managersto remove roadblocks and optimize workflows.
- Maintainaccurate project documentation templates and SDLC workflowsto support team operations.
- Facilitateretrospectives and post-mortemsto identify lessons learned and drive ongoing improvements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a primary liaison betweentechnical teams and internal/external stakeholdersensuring alignment of development efforts with business objectives.
- Work closely withsenior leadershipto define and execute technology strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations onresource planning skill development and technology investments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 7 years of experiencein software development lifecycle management with at least3 years in a leadership role required.
- Strong understanding ofSDLC methodologiesincluding Agile Waterfall and hybrid approaches.
- Experience managing and mentoringcross-functional teams including developers analysts and QA professionals.
- Proven ability todrive process improvements and optimize development workflows.
- Experience withDevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines automated testing and cloud-based deployments.
- Proficiency inproject management toolssuch as Azure DevOps Jira or equivalent.
- Excellentcommunication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Strongattention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience ina consulting or professional services environment.
- Familiarity withenterprise business applications (ERP CRM or custom solutions).
- Knowledge ofregulatory compliance frameworksrelevant to software development.
- Certifications such asPMP CSM ITIL SAFe or similarare a plus.

Manager
