Job Summary:
The Civil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing civil construction activities at project sites. This includes supervising site personnel ensuring compliance with safety standards coordinating with engineers and contractors and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities related to civil construction work.
- Ensure all construction work is carried out as per design specifications drawings and quality standards.
- Monitor workforce and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to schedules and safety protocols.
- Interpret and implement project plans and construction drawings on-site.
- Coordinate with project managers regarding technical issues.
- Maintain site records including daily progress reports material usage and labor deployment.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with NHAI guidelines
- Manage site logistics including materials equipment and labor planning.
- Enforce health and safety regulations to prevent workplace hazards and accidents.
- Resolve site issues and escalate major concerns to project management promptly.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering concepts construction methods and site management.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma (Polytechnic/ITI) in civil trade
- Minimum 23 years of experience in road construction.
- Familiarity with CAD is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel /Word
