Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day planning and routing of customer deliveries and supplier collections.
- Build develop and implement efficient delivery routes.
- Continuously improve and manage routing setups to ensure efficient performance.
- Deliver lean improvements within the department.
- Support in managing a team of drivers and coordinating transport schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide a high standard of customer service.
- Serve as a crucial point of contact for transportation-related inquiries and issues.
- Report directly to the Transportation Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation or shipping roles.
- Outstanding organisational and planning skills.
- Strong ability to build and implement efficient delivery routes.
- Experience managing and supporting teams.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills to handle customer service inquiries.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
