Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced TIG Welder for our client based in Fulbourn Cambridgeshire. This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis and presents a superb opportunity to join a growing company and be part of a busy team. Working in the companys busy factory where full time hours are worked over a 4 day week meaning you have each Friday off! The working hours are Monday Thursday 06:45 17:00
The company
Are a well-established sub-contract Manufacturing and Engineering company who provide precision machining fabrication welding and assembly services to a number of different industry sectors. Established in 1890 they have provided services to a wide range of sectors including MOD Aerospace Motorsport Scientific instruments Food packaging Oil and Gas and Construction to name a few. Completing jobs from prototype to medium batch within a wide variety of work. Previously in Cambridge the company moved to their current site in Fullbourn and can offer a tidy bright and clean working environment. The factory is currently a team of 17 skilled workers which offer a friendly and supportive working environment
The role
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to work in the companys Fabrication department. TIG welding duties will be carried out primarily in Aluminium Mild Steel and Stainless Steel.
Responsibilities will include:
- Performing TIG welding duties as required
- Reading technical drawings and measurements and making sure your work is correct and ensure its of a high standard
- Quality checking the finished products to ensure they are correct
- Make sure your working area is kept clean and tidy and adheres to H&S regulations
The Person
For this position we are seeking someone who has previous TIG welding experience in Aluminium This position will suit someone who has previous experience within a similar manufacturing environment. We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:
- A proven background within TIG Welding
- The ability to be forward thinking
- Work to a high standard
- Have excellent attention to detail and able to check your own work with a critical eye
- The versatility to work in a small team
- Theability to read engineering drawings.
This role is offered on a permanent basis and the Working hours are 39 hours a week over a 4 day period : Monday Thursday 06:45 17:00 (with 30 min unpaid lunch). The pay rate is negotiable depending on experience. Regular overtime will be offered at 1 1/2 times hourly rate.
