The Opportunity

Are you ready to power the future with innovative solutions Join Hitachi Energy a global leader in high-voltage components as we expand our operations. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Test Engineer in Mount Plesant PA to join our Grid Components team. In this role you will support production testing of HV Surge Arresters and capacitor assemblies specializing in implementing and maintaining high voltage test equipment. Your expertise will ensure our electrical systems are safe and functional contributing to a sustainable energy future. How Youll Make an Impact

  • Serve as the Person in Charge of Work (PICW) for all electrical work within High Voltage components.

  • Ensure safety protocols are meticulously followed.

  • Design test and implement high voltage test equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with arrester assembly and test equipment.

  • Collaborate with the engineering team on product development and equipment design.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.

  • Support automation equipment design including PLC logic controls and structured text.

  • Contribute to the implementation of 5S within HV components.

  • Assist Quality Assurance in developing technical reports.

Your Background

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of high voltage test equipment and electrical safety protocols.

  • Experience with PLC logic controls and automation equipment design.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
